With the release of
MP-22 Ultra Magnus, TakaraTomy also released a commercial for the Masterpiece
line. Mainly focusing on Magnus, but also showing all the previous released
Masterpiece cars. Actually all, but one. Because Red Alert is the only Autobot
car that is absent in the video.
The commercial, that
can be seen on Youtube, reminded me a lot on the eighties Japanese Transformers
commercials with the stop-motion transformation of the bots. To keep this
Masterpiece commercial in that style is really a nice homage, and again a brilliant
take on recreating that G1 Transformers atmosphere. I hope we get to see a new
commercial each time a new masterpiece is released.
